Notes: You would think from the title that it’s all about oil, and that’s certainly one aspect of the book.  But helium, carbon black, and natural gas  are also parts of the story.   At one time, this area was the helium capital of the world.  Having been through this area hundreds of times I was just fascinated by its natural resource history.
