Condition: Fair.  Binding tight.  No tears, bends or folds.  Signed by the author on half-title page.  Without dust jacket.  Previous owner bound the book in a clear plastic film, preserving the printed front board.  Wear to head and foot of spine.  Map endpapers.

Notes: Betzinez (also spelled Bastinas) was a cousin of Geronimo.  While “I fought with Geronimo” may be literally true (he fought with Geronimo for two years), Betzinez was captured by the U.S. Army as a teenager and sent to the Carlisle Indian School in Pennsylvania .  As a young man he worked as a scout for the Army.  He became a blacksmith, married and became a devout Christian.   He also appeared on the 1950’s television show “What’s My Line?”  He died in an auto accident at age 100.  Signed by Betzinez.
