Notes: Originally published by the University of Texas Press in 1960, out-of-print since.  As good a history of the Civil War in New Mexico as any.  A genealogical plus of this volume is an Appendix on “The Army of New Mexico,” a roster of the soldiers under Sibley.  A handsome volume.
