Notes:  It’s not “Sand County Almanac” (see https://joethebookguy.com/shop/nature/sand-county-almanac/ ) but it’ll do.  59 essays, all written before the publication of “Sand County.”  Leopold actually wrote more than 500 essays, articles, reviews, newsletters, reports.  There’s a Leopold bibliography included here.  After his death Leopold  became the philosophical touchstone of the American environmental movement–wilderness preservation, ecology, natural esthetics, the land ethic.
