Notes: Pamphlet.  Agricultural Experiment Station Bulletin 367.  Conference Papers.   Fourth of six in a series of seminar papers on arid and semi-arid lands (see photos), this time focusing on agricultural problems.  At the time of this writing, it was estimated that between 30-50% of the 215 million acres of irrigated land in the U.S. suffered from one or more problems–salinity, water-logging, erosion, or soil fertility (tilth).  Papers on crop adaptation and the economic use of water, range ecology, water conservation in arid climates, parasites (both plant and animal), plant diseases, plant breeding, and irrigated land problems.
