Condition: Fair.  Ex-corporate library.  Binding tight.  No tears, folds.  Library tag taped to spine foot, tape extending to lower front and rear covers.  Previous owner’s name (first? second?) stamped on upper front cover corner.  Corporate library stamp on upper corner ffep, half-title page.  Small pen marks on lower corner ffep, half-title page.  Lower corner of page 95 has an approx. 1″ bend.  Lower rear cover corner has an approx. 2″ crease, mid-cover, does not reach any edge.  Edge and corner wear.

Notes:  “Arizona is not only a desert.  It is one of the most topographically varied and scenic areas in North America, and contains extensive forest occurring up to timberline elevations (11,000-11,4000 feet) plus a bit of alpine tundra above timberline on the summit of San Francisco Mountain.  This great environmental diversity is reflected in Arizona’s diverse fauna in which there is a total of 64 species of fishes, 22 species of amphibian, 94 species of reptiles, 434 species of birds, and 137 species of mammals, a combined total of 751 species which does not include several others listed as ‘hypothetical’ for Arizona”  (From the Introduction).  The biotic communities of Arizona–desert, grassland, woodland, forest, and tundra.  Amazing little volume.  Well-written, easy read.  Probably used as a basic college biology text.
