Condition: Fair.  Ex-library.  At least 3, maybe 4, previous owners.  Paper tape binding still tight, but splitting at top spine edges.  No folds.  Upper front cover corner has a stamp from Clyde Kluckhohn and the Peabody Museum, crossed out by pencil.  Third previous owner’s stamp mid-front cover, near rear cover upper edge, and on bottom edge of Acknowledgements page.  Library  “Removed” stamp on upper edge of the title page, and library check-out card and pocket glued to inside rear cover.   Some creasing to front cover recto edge.   Smudging to front and rear covers.   One bump on side text block, affects the rear cover verso edge and about the last 20 pages.  Upper rear spine edge has an approx. 2″ split.  Upper front spine edge has an approx. 1/2″ split.   Edge and corner wear.
