Notes: Originally published in 1960.  This limited edition, 500 copies, of which this is No. 460, revised to correct small errors from the original edition, and in celebration of the 100th Anniversary of the Confederate Museum in New Orleans.  Signed by the author on title page, above edition number.  Dufour believed Flag Officer David Farragut’s running of the Confederate blockade of the Mississippi River on April 24, 1862, was “the night the war was lost.”  Farragut’s blockade run put New Orleans, the south’s most important city and port, at the mercy of the Union ships, and turned the Mississippi River into a Union river.
