Condition: Fair.  Stapled binding tight.  No tears.  Previous owner’s name stamped on upper front cover corner.  All the Gila Pueblo volumes have the covers overlapping the text block, and this volume is no exception.  Numerous bends on all edges, front and rear.  Upper front cover corner at spine head has an approx. 1″ bend (dropped), extends through entire volume.

Notes:  Third in a series of Medallion Papers concerning the accuracy of some tree-ring dates.  Gladwin was a late-comer to tree-ring analysis, and to call him a skeptic would be accurate.   He argued that ceramics and architecture should be the determining factors in archaeological dating.   In this volume Gladwin argues that Alfred Douglass, Emil Haury, and John McGregor have their dates wrong, by hundreds of years (!), when it comes to dating the Tusayan Ruin.
