Row-SEE-o.  “Located in a small saddle on the summit of Rosillo Peak, this small, open prehistoric campsite was repeatedly occupied by small groups of hunters and gatherers over several thousand years, beginning in the latter half of the Early Archaic period…Both surface and excavation data indicate that the most substantial site occupations during the Middle Archaic period.” (From the Abstract).  “What caught and held the attention of OSA (n.b. Office of the State Archaeologist) archaeologists upon the discovery of the Rosillo Peak site in 1980 was not a typical mountaintop cairn, circle, or other construction of rock, but rather the obvious remains of a full-blown prehistoric campsite with a discernible midden area containing scatters of debitage, burned rock, and stone tools.” (From the Introduction)
