Condition: Fair. Binding tight, but it’s actually the plastic cover the entire volume is covered by. No tears. Previous owner’s name in red ink on upper front cover near spine head, handwritten on upper edge title page. Second previous owner’s name on upper corner Introduction page, near spine head. Some underlining, marginalia in text. Edge and corner wear. That plastic cover is a saving grace on this 65 year old classic.
Notes: More than 800 species of plants included–desert scrub, desert grassland, pinyon-juniper-oak woodland, and Ponderosa pine-Douglas fir, Arizona cypress forest. Both McDougall and Sperry wrote numerous volumes of plant books.
