Notes: Archaeological work conducted prior to the improvement of two existing roads on the Navajo Reservation. “From the data recovered at site NM-H-38-166 (LA 107517), it appears that the site is comprised of a minimum of four different temporal components: A late Bajada phase (Early Archaic period) occupation dated at 5240± 140 BP: a San Jose phase (Middle Archaic period) occupation dated at 4520± 100 BP, 4500±BP, and 4430± 40 BP; and Armijo phase (Late Archaic period) occupation dated at 2850± 50 BP; and an En Medio phase (Late Archaic period) occupation dated at 1730± 40 BP.” (From the Abstract) Short-term task-specific occupation of a camp.
