Condition: 3 copies.  Copy 1 (LOA23): Fair.  Ex-library.  Binding tight.  No tears, folds.  Library “Withdrawn” stamp on lower front cover.  Tape marking to lower front cover corner at spine foot, with markings extending to spine foot and lower rear cover corner at spine foot.  Lower rear cover corner has an approx. 2″ bend.  2 pencil marks (library) on lower title page.  Library “Withdrawn” stamp on lower corner Abstract page (page iii).  Edge and corner wear.   Copy 2 (MCV): Fair to Good.  Binding tight.  No bends, folds.  Previous owner’s name in ink on title page.  One small chip at lower front cover edge at spine.  Light corner and edge wear.   Some smudging to rear cover.  Copy 3 (D): Fair to Good.  Binding tight.  No marks, tears, bends or folds.  There’s a long scuff mark on the front cover, but I think that’s a printer fault rather than shelf wear.  Very light edge and corner wear.  Appears unused.

Notes:  Excavations at five sites prior to the expansion of NM Highway 44 between Bernalillo and San Ysidro, New Mexico.  All the sites are on tribal lands, and taken together, reflect the change from Middle Archaic through Pueblo II.  Increased sedentism, increased agriculture, introduction and elaboration of ceramic technology.
