Notes: Northland Research Technical Report 99-07. Investigation of seven sites adjacent to U.S. Highway 93 (northwest from Phoenix, before you get to Kingman). “All are fairly typical, in outward appearance, of prehistoric sites in the region–basically scattered small concentrations of flaked stone tools and chipping debris, grinding implements, and in some cases, small amounts of pottery….the Santa Maria Terrace site proved to have several buried features (roasting pits, activity surfaces, and the floor of an impermanent structure), and buried features are almost certainly present as well in a portion of the Kaiser Spring Bridge site…” (From the Introduction). Short occupations, diverse purposes.
