Notes: Volume 1 of 2 volume set. Site 48 (and Site 48A) were somewhat controversial in the late 1970’s, early 1980’s, primarily because one group of archaeologists didn’t like the way another group of archaeologists were working on the sites and didn’t like the report “they” were writing about the site. This volume (and Volume 2) incorporate the previous study and iron out differences. 250 copy print run. The two volume set is also available.
