Notes: As much an archaeology book as a paean to Earl Morris.  Lots of photos.   Very readable.  “The data available when West Ruin was excavated indicated only that it had been the residence of Chacoans forced by overpopulation out of the primary zone inhabited by their fellow Anasazi or of others destined to live on the peripheries of more consequential happenings at the cultural seat.”  (From Chapter Three).  An outlier for pariahs?
