Condition: Fair.  Binding tight.  No folds.  Two previous owners.  First previous owner’s name stamped on upper corner inside front cover and on upper corner ffep, and on side text block.   Second previous owner’s name and mark on upper corner half-title page, near spine head.  Lower rear cover edge has an approx. 1/8″ x 1/4″ triangular chip, with several smaller chips along bottom edge.  One water (?) mark, about quarter size, near upper rear cover corner.  Smudging, spotting, sun-fading to rear cover.  Includes 6 fold-outs.  Edge and corner wear.

Notes: Office of the State Archeologist Survey Report 25.   Survey and excavations in an “environmentally restricted” area along Bear Creek (north of Big Bend National Park).  An approximate 10,000 year history of adaptation to increasing aridity, including an increasing dependence on an Agave procurement economy, beginning approximately 4650 years BP.   Jesse Jennings tried to define this Archaic life-style as a “slow trend toward ‘efficiency’,”  (Page 180) when an optimal population level developed a stable adaptation to aridity, in this case, giving rise to the Agave economy.  VERY RARE.  No other copies available for sale.
