Notes: McKee, a contemporary of N.H. Darton (Story of the Grand Canyon), came to the Grand Canyon in 1927, and really never left. The bulk of the pamphlet concerns the geologic history of the Grand Canyon, with very much smaller sections on Zion and Bryce Canyon in Utah, and the Petrified Forest and Painted Desert of Arizona. Originally published in 1931. Talk about a title that’s “evergreen.”
