Condition:  Fair.  Binding tight.  No tears bends or folds.  Upper front cover corner has an approx. 1½” pen mark (a check mark?).  Very light edge and corner wear.  Appears unused.

Notes: Cultural Resource Management Report No. 9.  Five small short-line railroads, all designed to haul timber, service the mines in the area, and help promote land development–the Santa Fe Northwestern, the Cuba Extension, the San Juan Basin, the Santa Fe Northern, and the Santa Fe, San Juan and Northern railroads.  Railroads for logging purposes had a particularly brief period of operation–maybe 30 years.  The private companies built railroads into the forests, shipped the logs elsewhere, and when the trees were gone so were the railroads.  Well illustrated with photos and maps.
