Condition: Fair.  Binding tight.  No tears.   Upper front cover has 3 small pen marks (see photo).   Recto edge near upper corner has a small (approx. 1/8″) chip.  Upper rear cover corner has an approx. 1/2″ bend.  Some spotting to rear cover (dirt, a couple of small wet spots).  Edge and corner wear.

Notes: Journal.  Multi-lingual (Spanish, English, French, German).  Tepotzotlan is a city about 25 miles northeast of Mexico City.  This volume has a history of the city, a history of the religious occupation by Franciscans and Jesuits, a history of the major buildings in the city, primarily the cathedral and the college founded by the Jesuits (Padre Eusibio Francisco Kino was a noted alumnus).  The buildings are now The Museum of the Viceroyalty of New Spain, and house one of the largest collections of “Churrigueresque”  (an “ultra-Baroque” style of elaborate architectural ornament from the 17th century.   See cover photo) ornamentation in the world.
