Notes:  Journal.  Wilder was the founding editor of Journal of the Southwest for 30 years, until his retirement in June 2020.  This “Special Issue” has two essays–“An Old and Reliable Authority: An Act for the Preservation of American Antiquities” and “Edgar Lee Hewett and the Political Process”, edited and written by Ray Thompson.  There are 40 pages of black-and-white photographs of the monuments of the southwest.  Wonderful photos.
