Notes: While the title and cover may say “Victoria Peak,”  the common reference is to “Victorio Peak.”  Named for the Apache leader who held sway throughout southern New Mexico, Victorio/Victoria Peak is home to a (probably fanciful) legend of vast treasure, discovered by Milton E. “Doc” Noss.  The site is now part of the White Sands Missile Range, and unavailable for exploration.
