Condition: 3 copies.  Copy 1: Fair to Good.  Stapled binding tight.  No marks, tears.  One small crease on upper front cover corner.  Very light edge and corner wear.  Copy 2 (BKS): Fair.  Stapled binding tight.  No tears.  Sticker mark on upper front cover corner.  Lower front cover corner worn, small bend.  Spine and spine edges sun-faded.   This copy’s been used.  Copy 3: Fair to Good.  Stapled binding tight.  No tears, bends or folds.  One small stain on bottom text block.  Upper front cover corner near spine head has one small spot and sticker stain.  Slight scuffing to rear cover.

Notes: Pamphlet.  Drawings of Four Corners geology, with explanations.  “A mesa…becomes a butte…becomes a spire…and disappears” (4 drawings).  “Most famous of all volcanic necks of the southwest is Shiprock, a landmark so high and distinctive that it can be seen a hundred miles away.  It rises 1800 feet from the plain of soft shale that surrounds it.  It is interesting to contemplate how much higher this once stood, how large a surface cone it produced, and how much material has eroded from around it in the ages since it was a surging mass of lava feeding an active volcano.” (with a drawing of Shiprock).  Arroyos, monuments, arches, meanders.  There’s a lot of information here.
