Notes: Scenic Trips to the Geologic Past No. 11. This volume on the narrow-gauge, tourist railroad is aimed primarily at the geology the 64 mile trip from Chama, New Mexico, to Antonito, Colorado, passes through. The bulk of the text ((the Geologic Rail Log) is in two columns, one for eastbound (read from back to front), one for westbound (read from front to back). Lots of black-and-white photos, diagrams, period drawings. If you do take the trip, one-way or round trip, I recommend taking a lunch/snacks/drinks, and a sweater or light jacket–at the highest points on the trip the altitude is greater than 10,000 feet–and all the passenger cars are open-air. You can thank me later.
