Condition: Fair.  Binding tight.  No marks, tears.  Lower front cover corner at spine foot has an approx. 2″ bend.  Spine foot has a break at the level of that front cover bend.  The book had to have been dropped, and hit right on that area near the spine foot.  Otherwise, very light edge and corner wear.  Appears unused.

Notes: Viking Fund Publications in Anthropology Number 56.  “…terracing, with and without irrigation, has been associated with evidence of increasing population, and later comparatively high densities.”  (Page 1).  The primary focus is on areas of Central and South America, where surplus foodstuffs were a common occurrence, and rain was much more plentiful than in the arid southwest.
