Notes: Originally published in 1997, by Red Crane Books. When Red Crane went out of business they donated all their remaining stock and publishing rights to the Museum of New Mexico Press. The Red Crane edition sold slowly at best. Once the old edition inventory was exhausted MNMP redesigned the cover (to show O’Keeffe actually cooking) and this edition has become one of the Press’s best-selling titles. O’Keeffe was a committed organic gardener, with a large kitchen garden, and enjoyed cooking for guests. Wood, the author, was O’Keeffe’s companion for 5 years in the late 1970’s, early 1980’s. Includes a small color photo section.
