Description

Author: Kitto, F.H.  (Franklin Hugo) (1880-1965)

Publisher: Department of the Interior, Canada

Pub Date: 1930 (Third edition, revised)

Binding: Paperback

Condition: Poor to Fair.  Binding tight, but head and foot of spine are chipped, missing pieces exposing signatures.  Covers soiled–this baby’s been passed around.  All corners bumped, slightly bent.  It’s a used book, to be sure.

Notes: “The Peace River country has no fixed boundaries.  Logically speaking, it comprises the drainage basin of Peace river proper–an area of approximately 93,000 square miles.”  (page 5).  Probably designed to lure people to the area–lots of water, good farmland, forests on the western edge.   What’s not to like?  Beside the winter.   “C’mon in.  The water’s fine.”
