Notes: The author defines the “Southwest Mountains” as the mountains of the Four Corners states. After the first section on trees the book is color-coded to allow a somewhat quicker identification of the specific flower (e.g. Gentians in the blue section, Valerian in the “Pink/Orange” section). Color photographs throughout, but not covering every flower. Each flower/bush/tree does have illustrations (though “actual size” is a relative term).
