Condition: Fair.  Comb binding is in tough shape.  If FedEx Office still put in new comb bindings this one is a for sure.  At least eight broken teeth, though they’re still inserted through the text block.  Previous owner’s name on upper front cover corner.  Lower front cover corner has an approx. 1/4″ bend, extends through first couple of pages.  Edge and corner wear.

Notes: Note Book No. 3.  Two monographs published and bound together.  Zuni Kin Terms takes up the first third of the volume, with Daily Life as the latter 2/3, beginning at what would be Page 25.   Zuni kin terms are not equal–“…evidence shows that kinship is organized on a lineage basis and even in thee ‘bilateral’ recognition of the mother’s and father’s lineages there is not equality but a complementary relationship.” (Social Organization of the Western Pueblos, Eggan, University of Chicago Press, 1950) (From the Introduction).  Zuni Daily Life “…to contribute to the ethnography of modern Zuni…”(From the Introduction), albeit the modern Zuni of 70 years ago.
