Description
Author: Corle, Edwin (1906-1956)
Publisher: Rinehart & Company
Pub Date: 1951 (First edition)
Binding: Hardcover
Condition: Ex-library. Book: Fair. Binding tight, but split after half-title page. Because it’s a sewn binding it’s still tight. There’s an approx. 2″ repaired tear on the title page, with wear. Small chip missing from title page edge. Rear pastedown and rear end paper show signs of library check-out slip and card pocket, but both missing. Rear pastedown has envelope remnants. All corners worn. Smudging to boards. Dust Jacket: Fair. The front flap is missing about a 3″ piece where the price and blurb would be. Tape marks on front and rear covers, and on inside of jacket, probably from a protective cover being placed over the jacket.
Notes: A volume in the Rivers of America series. Corle tells more of the stories of the people on and around the 600 mile long Gila River, as well as the history of the river itself and the histories of Arizona and southwestern New Mexico. Excellent history of Arizona to 1950.
