Notes: Children’s book format, but it’s really more folk tales, with Velarde’s art accompanying.  Stories/folklore of Santa Clara Indians, as remembered by Velarde from her grandfather/great grandfather.  Nina Collier, whom Velarde inscribed this volume to, was an arts adminstrator in New Mexico, and probably knew Velarde for decades.
