Publisher: Butterfield & Butterfield

Pub Date: 1993

Binding: Paperback

Condition: Fair.  Binding tight.  No tears, bends, folds.  Upper front cover corner slightly worn.  Lower rear cover corner has a slight crease.  Some scuffs to front and rear covers (the glossy black covers really give them away).  Upper front cover corner has a ghost circle where some form of label was removed (albeit carefully).  Pen markings to some pages (auction estimates?).  Edge and corner wear.

Notes:  Auction catalog, for auctions over 3 days.  Native American weaving, clothing, accessories, weapons (including one tomahawk that may have belonged to Tecumseh), cradleboards, baskets, pottery.  Some Oceanic and African items.  Hispanic religious carvings.  Apparently a previous owner was only interested in Native American pottery and basketry–those are the pages marked with his/her auction estimates, and perhaps that previous owner spent about $6500 on 5 items (final page shows amount spent?).  The two best things about this catalog are the great photos, both black-and-white and color, and the provenance/historical descriptions.  Incredible amount of detail there.  Since all  these items being auctioned were from private collections, NAGPRA never came into play.
