Condition: Good.  Stapled binding tight.  No marks, tears, bends or folds.  Very light edge and corner wear.

Notes:  Exhibit catalog.  Bodmer (1809-1893) accompanied the German prince Maximillian through the upper Midwest between 1832-1834, as the expedition artist.  His paintings and engravings of the country and its Indian inhabitants are extremely detailed, and were used in Maximillian’s book “Travels in the Interior of North America”, published in German in 1839 and in English in 1843.  Excellent color and black-and-white reproductions.
