Notes:  When I first saw this pamphlet, my first thought was “Bertha Dutton.”  Dutton wrote a number of these kinds of items for the Museum of New Mexico during her career there (see photos below), though this item has no author listed and was published by the Government Printing Office.  It’s brief histories of the Pueblos, the Apache, and the Navajo, and even briefer examinations of tribal/Pueblo government, employment, education, industrial development, and “Social Welfare.”  A list of the pueblos and reservations, with a state map of their locations, is at the end.  This was probably designed to be given away or sold at minimal cost at rest stops and gift shops.
