Notes: A history of placer and hard-rock mining, along with the necessary equipment and machinery, in the 19th century West.  Includes a section on “Occupational Hazards” (like death?)  Lots of period photographs.  Like almost all self-published items, a good editor (and maybe a book designer) should be a necessity (blank pages, reference layouts).
