Hall conducted an inventory survey of the Walhalla Plateau , an area between Nankoweep Creek and Bright Angel Creek, and recorded 273 sites. Hall “hypothesized a prehistoric sequence of occupation by Anasazi people that lasted from A.D. 700 to 1200, with a population peak between A.D. 900 and 1100 and then a rapid decline.” (From the Introduction).
