The remains found in the project area date primarily to the Classic period. Early occupation of the project area is limited to the late Sedentary period, probably dating between A.D. 1000 and 1100 or 1150. The Classic period occupation in the project area probably dates between A.D. 1150 and 1450.” (From the Abstract) More than 500,000 sherds and 50,000 pieces of chipped stone recovered (and they were only able to work over 25% of the project area.) “The eight Pueblo Grande Report volumes, which contain over 2,000 pages of published data, as well as the six volumes on the history of research, platform mound and immediately surrounding features in preparation by the City of Phoenix make Pueblo Grande the most intensively investigated and best-reported prehistoric site in the United States.” (From the Foreword) 6 volumes are also available as a “set”.
