Notes: “This book is a compilation of stories and photographs about some of the contemporary research, some which have been published in the Alamogordo Daily News, the Las Cruces Sun News, Desert Exposure and other print media over the past several years, with the hope that protection of the basin and its meaning for all people becomes more widespread.”  (From the Introduction).  As with most self-published works it needs a bit more editing.  Also, attribution of these stories would seem to be a legal (copyright?) requirement, but nope, no attributions.
