Publisher: University of Chicago Press for the Geographic Society of Chicago

Pub Date: 1933

Binding: Paperback

Condition: Fair.  Ex-library.  Binding tight.  No tears.  Library stamp and marking on upper front cover corner.  Upper front cover corner also has approx. 3/4″ fold.  Lower front cover edge has approx. 1″ crease.  Lower rear cover corner has approx. 1″ bend.  There are 9 fold-out maps after the second chapter of this booklet, all smaller than the other pages.  That difference in size has caused the first 44 pages of the text to “collapse” at their recto edge, to fill in the size gap.  The maps themselves are all in good condition, no tears, no repairs, refolded and reinserted correctly.  Edge and corner wear to covers.

Notes: Pamphlet.  The Geographic Society of Chicago Bulletin No. 9.  Three lectures given to the Geographic Society of Chicago, one on development of geographic surveying techniques and terminology (with some relationship to the second lecture ff), one on landscape types in southwestern Wisconsin, and the third “Magdalena Atlipac–A Study in Pattern of Terrene Occupancy in Mexico” (read “A hillside village in Mexico and how they use the land”).
