Description
Author: Stevenson, James (1840-1888)
Publisher: Smithsonian Institution
Pub Date: 1883
Binding: Hardcover
Condition: Fair. No tears, folds. This item came from an old BAE volume that was falling apart, and I had rebound in hardcover. There is a very small bend on the lower corner of the first few pages, and a couple of water marks on the edge of one illustration (does not affect the illustration). Some bubbling to front and rear boards.
Notes: Stevenson collected more than 4900 items during his expedition to New Mexico pueblos in 1880-1881. This 36 page catalog deals primarily with stone, clay, pottery, horn and shell items. I don’t consider this a reading volume, more reference. And the Pueblo of Zia is here spelled “Silla.”
