Notes: Technical Note No. 1.  8 page pamphlet, 8½” x 11″.   Artifacts collected from private land, approximately 20 miles west of Albuquerque.   “The Middle Rio Puerco sites covered in this study show evidence of long occupation–En Medio through Pueblo I….The evidence strongly suggest that the population in the later period reached a peak with an influx of people to the valley ‘pastures’  around 700 to 800 AD (sic).  They established a large number of shallow pit-house communities.  That the economy was largely agricultural is indicated by the nature of the dwellings, the grinding tools used and the terrain which provided selective areas for flood-plain farming.”  (From the Conclusion)
