Condition: Fair.  Binding tight.  No tears, folds.  Previous owner’s stamp on upper corner title page.  Bottom edge of Page 1/Table of Contents page has a black mark, approx. 1/4″ x 1″, that I believe is a printer fault (not ink apparently because I can’t get any smudging).  Doesn’t affect any text.  Lower rear cover corner has an approx. 1″ bend, worn.  Wear extends through last 40 pages of text.  Upper rear cover corner worn, wear extends through last half-dozen pages.  Spine head worn, chipped.  Foxing to rear cover at spine edge.  Edge wear.  Includes ephemera.  Errata slip laid in.

Publications in Salvage Archeology No. 7.  “The Oahe Dam vicinity, just upstream from Pierre, South Dakota, was particularly rich in archeological remains….Five major archeological sites were located on the right bank of the Missouri less than a mile and a half above or below the axis of the dam, and a sixth lay across the river on the left bank.  All were investigated by archeologists before they were destroyed in the process of dam construction.”  (From the Introduction)  The architecture involved were all earth lodges.
