Notes: Historic and Natural Resources Report No. 7.  About 13,000 sites are recorded on Fort Bliss, and some reports speculate there may be as many as 100,000 (yes, a hundred thousand) on the installation.  “The site was selected on the assumption that students in the field school could get experience identifying and exposing pueblo walls, floors, faunal and floral materials, and perhaps burials.  The site was found to have none of these attributes.  Further, the data from the site suggest that it is actually a multicomponent site of considerable occupational complexity.”  (From the Foreword)
