Notes: Technical Report No. 535. Archaeological investigation prior to the construction of a methane gas extraction pad. “The site consisted of a single-component early Navajo habitation located in a mesa-top setting west of the Pine River section of the Navajo Reservoir district, San Juan County, New Mexico. A complete investigation of the site area revealed a single forked-pole hogan with an interior hearth and slab lined bin associated with two extramural hearths, a midden area containing an ash dump, two amorphous charcoal stains, and an outlying cobble-filled hearth….probably preceding the Pueblo Revolt of 1680, earlier than traditional interpretations of the Gobernador phase have assumed.” (From the Abstract). VERY RARE. NO other copies available for sale, and not held in any libraries.
