Description
Author: Holmes, William Henry (1846-1933)
Publisher: Smithsonian Institution
Pub Date: 1888
Binding: Paperback
Condition: Fair. Binding tight. No marks, tears, bends or folds. This report was excised from a hardcover copy of the Sixth Annual Report of the Bureau of American Ethnology, 1884-1885. The original hardcover was falling apart and I had this report rebound in paperback. Some spotting to side text block. Foxing to all text blocks.
Notes: At the time of this report Chiriqui was the furthest northern province of Colombia. Today it is the westernmost province of Panama, bordering Costa Rica. This report is incredibly well-illustrated–graves, ritual objects, sculpture, weapons, and a boatload of pottery.
