Notes: While there are certainly a lot of color photographs, there are also lots of black-and-white photos, diagrams, drawings and maps.  For the sake of argument we could call this a basic southwestern archaeology book with lots of illustrations.  Ferguson was an avocational archaeologist and former Attorney General of Kansas.
