Notes:  Cordry landed the ideal job in the 1930’s–traveling around Mexico looking for all kinds of items for the Museum of the American Indian and the Heye Foundation.  He and his wife visited at least a dozen villages, photographed the locals in “costume” and in what we think of as everyday clothes.  Lots of black-and-white and color photos.  The anthropology of ceremonies and costumes.  Foreword by Miguel Covarrubias.
