Notes: Volume 21 of the “Western Frontier Library” series, originally published in hardcover in 1963. Nice little paperback of Collinson’s memoirs and stories of life in the west, from buffalo hunting to selling cattle to Custer to meeting Billy the Kid. Collinson didn’t start his literary career until the early 1930’s, about ten years before his death, and a number of these stories appeared in periodicals during that time. Collinson’s life is a history of the frontier.
