Description

Authors: Bell, Ed, Barbara and Steve and McQueary, Ralph and Jerry

Publisher: Squaw Bell Traders

Pub Date: 1975

Binding: Hardcover

Condition: Good.  Binding tight.  No marks, tears, bends or folds.  Without dust jacket, as issued.  Gilt on spine and front board still sharp, easily readable.  Blue, simulated wood covers.  Very light edge and corner wear.  This copy does not have “Volume 1” on the lower front cover corner at the spine foot, only on the spine.   The title page is slightly different from the Volume 1 in the 3 volume set.  This makes me think this is a “blue line” copy (essentially a dummy printing), intended for the authors’ review, comments and corrections, an earlier printing than the Volume 1 in the set.

Notes:   A catalog of Zuni jewelers and color photographs of some of their work.  Many of these people, if still alive, would be in their 70’s and 80’s.  This was a labor of love project, to catalog as many Zuni jewelers (and traders) as the authors could find.  Photos are all Kodak-quality.   A three volume set is also available.  See  https://joethebookguy.com/shop/indian/zuni-the-art-and-the-people-3-volume-set/
