Notes: This really borders on fantasy, EXCEPT the author has lots of examples of cross-cultural pollination between the Zuni and Japan (language, design, religion), many illustrated, that you think “Maybe. Okay, I can see that. It’s possible.” My questions regard why do we have NO other relics, or cultural hand-me-downs, from that possible 700 year old Japanese excursion to find the Buddhist concept of The Middle of the World? The Japanese didn’t just fall from the sky. They had to have crossed lots of other native territories and encountered other peoples. Still and all, a really interesting idea.
